Yet that same study shows that 58% of those that do not have a website will be building a website within the year, or already are working on one.<\/p>\n<p>While not having the skills, or finances, is one of the main reasons that many small business owners do not have a website, this survey also showed that a large amount felt a website is not required due to what they do through social media. \u00a0Although social media is great, it is a \u201cfree\u201d service. \u00a0You can\u2019t guarantee that what you post today will still be there tomorrow. \u00a0It is AMAZING to use in conjunction with a website, but you still need a website as a \u201chome base\u201d. \u00a0That \u201chome base\u201d allows clients to find you 24\/7\/365 and you control what you show your clients. It gives you detailed information about who your customers are, and allows them to learn about your company in a way that social media never can.<\/p>\n<p>In the world we live in today it&#8217;s a pretty simple formula. \u00a0If you offer a service \/ product, you are in need of a website. \u00a0Many potential customers \/ clients do research before they make a purchase or inquire about your services. \u00a0If you have nothing to present to them online, your business is on an island by itself.
