Some website designer companies could almost be deemed “sleight of hand magicians”, and before you know it you’ve committed to getting a website when the company doesn’t even know what you need. Instead of listening to your needs and demands of your business and services and basing a website upon that, they have a package and plan already chosen for you.
It’s the common magician trick of the magician to get the person they are pulling the trick on to answer how they want them to answer. You really want the Ace of Hearts to be pulled out of the deck yet somehow the magician “sells” you on picking the 2 of Spades that he already knows is at the bottom of the deck.
When put into the context of a website design, far too many companies have a great salesperson or sales team, but the important part, the final product, misses the mark. The “designer” says “here are 3 templates for you to choose from”.
