Do you judge a book by its cover?  Good or bad it is always best to do your research and be sure that the company you are looking to hire can, has, and if they can do what you are looking for.  Be sure that what you need done they do day in and day out, not just sometimes, or occasionally. Be sure they are GOOD at what they claim they can do. This is tough, especially in the field WebLeaps is in.

For example, if you are looking to get your business ranked higher organically, it all starts with your website. One of the worst things that we ever have to say to a potential client is: “Yes, we understand you just put out X amount to have a “designer” build you a website. Although, if you want to be ranked how you’re explaining, you will need to have to have the website rebuilt.  But this time the correct way.”

You see, sometimes a website can look pretty from what you can visually see. But when it comes to search engines, they could care less how great it looks.   The search engines could care less about how amazing your photographs display your work, or product. What the search engines truly care about is how your website was designed.  Would you buy a home without seeing the inside of it first? Or, would you buy a home without getting an inspection first? Would you buy a car simply based on how it looks and disregard what is under the hood?  Would you choose not to read a book because it doesn’t have a title or looks old and boring? The answer is no, no, no and no. A website is no different.

With today’s technology, the good and bad is that anyone can “design a website”, but there are few website designers.   The old saying: “Don’t judge a book by its cover” remains very true. Be sure to do your homework and hire the right business.  Be sure to call around and ask around.
